Family Dental Services
Hygiene
Adequate home care and regular visits to one of our friendly and qualified hygienists are critical to maintaining optimal oral health! Most insurance plans allow their members to receive two professional cleaning appointments and exams a year at no cost to the patient. After a thorough cleaning, Dr. Causey will review any x-rays taken, perform a comprehensive oral exam, and discuss options of treatment if needed.
Restorative Dentistry
At Northeast Columbia Family Dentistry, we are proud to offer restorations that are both functional and cosmetic. We use “tooth colored” fillings, porcelain crowns, and bridges to restore teeth to their natural-looking beauty. If you are missing one or more teeth, Dr. Causey can discuss options of replacement such as a bridge, implant, or partial denture. She also enjoys transforming her patients’ smiles and confidence through teeth whitening, veneers, and cosmetic crowns.
Other Services
Northeast Columbia Family Dentistry is truly a patient driven general dentistry practice, and Dr. Causey and her staff work hard to find solutions to any dental questions you may have. She sees patients of all ages and does procedures from the simplest filling to full sets of dentures. She offers pain relief as well as cosmetic solutions. And, she is proud to offer “laughing gas” to make sure your visit is as comfortable as possible!
Pain Relief
Unfortunately, cracked or infected teeth can be very painful. While each case varies, many teeth can be saved with a filling, crown, and/ or root canal. If the tooth cannot be restored, oral surgery may be required. Dr. Causey will examine your painful tooth and any radiographs to discuss which option will be best to get you out of pain as quickly as possible! Many patients also have tooth sensitivity in one or more teeth which can be addressed during any routine appointment. Sometimes, relief can be as simple as painting on a medication!
Pediatrics
Dr. Causey enjoys seeing children of all ages and loves to watch them grow and mature into healthy adults! She usually recommends first seeing a child between their second and third birthdays for a quick initial check to make sure everything is developing normally and to allow the child to have a positive experience at the dentist. Primary teeth, or “baby teeth,” are much smaller than adult teeth and can develop cavities quickly, possibly causing pain for your child. It is very important to take care of primary teeth because they allow their permanent “adult” teeth to come in properly. If your child does require treatment, we may want to use “laughing gas” to help the experience be positive and pain free.
