Dr. Causey enjoys seeing children of all ages and loves to watch them grow and mature into healthy adults! She usually recommends first seeing a child between their second and third birthdays for a quick initial check to make sure everything is developing normally and to allow the child to have a positive experience at the dentist. Primary teeth, or "baby teeth," are much smaller than adult teeth and can develop cavities quickly, possibly causing pain for your child. It is very important to take care of primary teeth because they allow their permanent "adult" teeth to come in properly. If your child does require treatment, we may want to use "laughing gas" to help the experience be positive and pain free.
